Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has recently signed a fresh five-year contract.
Aston Villa were linked through the summer transfer window with Phillips although the 23-year-old has dedicated his long-term potential with a deal that ties him for his boyhood club.
„Over the span of the summer transfer windowPhillips has been subject to high profile attention from a number of Premier League sides, with the club rebuffing several supplies in excess of 20m,“ the team said in a statement.
„The club claimed during that Phillips wouldn’t be marketed, together with the midfielder being essential to plans for the future, with the immediate objective of procuring top flight football.
„As a club, we’re thrilled that Kalvin shares the exact identical vision and potential for Leeds United, which has been demonstrated by committing his long term future to the Whites.“
Since breaking into the first team during the 2014-15 17, phillips has made 148 appearances for United.
The midfielder was appointed in the Sky Bet Championship staff of this season for the 2018-19 effort, after making 46 appearances in all competitions.
Phillips has featured in each game so far this season for Leeds, helping Marcelo Bielsa’s side to next in the Championship table behind Charlton and Swansea City.
